http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5782108/1/Harry_Potter_and_the_Methods_of_Rationality

This is by Eliezer S. Yudkowsky, the same guy behind Three Worlds Collide, and is a research fellow at The Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence.

Well. He's writing Harry Potter "fanfiction", in which Harry Potter is a child prodigy of rationality. But it doesn't stop there - this is a guy who can actually craft a plot and story - so he's ramped pup everyone else. Often times, via contact with this new Harry Potter.

The first dozen chapters regularly put me into fits of laughter, and the next dozen thoughtful contemplation.

Read it. Like TTGL, what you think of the first three chapters pretty much informs how you'll think about the rest of it. (Note: He does get expertly taken down pegs)

Did you honestly just unironically post Harry Potter fanfiction to my forums?

Really?

Dude. If you don't believe me, go read Three Worlds first.
